DANGANRONPA V3 AUS

Revived Ultimates AU

CW: None

In which killing Tsumugi reset the timeline back to when Kaede and Shuichi were trapped in the lockers. This time around, Monokuma is acting on his own, there's no mastermind, there's no Killing Game... but the students still can't leave, and they all have health issues relating to their deaths and any injuries they sustained. Of course, those who survived are usually unaffected by this. Monokuma still isn't running a school either, they're basically at college without the learning part. The reveal of Chapter 6 isn't canon, this wasn't a fucked up reality show - they are who they are. This reset also only affected V3, but feel free to make AUs for the other games! I'm... sure it's already been done! The hidden bookcase is untouched, it still houses the Motherkuma incase something happens to Monokuma, though nobody can get in no matter what. The Motherkuma also recreated the Monokubs.

Any evidence of the killing game is gone, Kokichi's room is still a huge mess but it's just cause he keeps stealing things from his classmates and the various rooms at the school. There's like a pathway from the door to his bed so he can get in and out without dying /hj. Ultimates don't exist either, everyone's just hyperfocused on one particular talent. The Ultimate Rooms are now just personal but not dorm rooms, and look pretty much the same. There's a hidden ramp that leads to Kokichi's, and Rantaro's has been overhauled to reflect themes of travel.

There are elevators across the school, and a nurse's office. Monokuma will always show up to assist in a nurse outfit when someone comes in the Nurse's Office. Nobody... really likes going there. The Kubs still have a bad habit of jumpscaring everyone when they appear in a room and loudly annouce themselves. They all like to snuggle with the students as well, though most of them refuse to admit that.

Students who were culprits become wary around those they killed (this applies to Kaede as well, despite her not actually being Rantaro's killer). If the victim is aware who killed them, the feeling is returned. Students will also have blurry nightmares about their deaths, more frequent for those who went through punishments. This does not apply to the Kubs or Monokuma, they lack any knowledge of the world before it reset. Victims do not like being in the rooms they died in.

Tsumugi's blood stain is still splattered across the front of the school, but it is super faint and isn't noticable unless you stare at it for awhile.

Rantaro: Has memory issues, extremely bad headaches (occasionally they do tone down to manageable), and the leftover scar on his head will start bleeding. However, he'll barely notice unless someone points it out. His headaches keep him up so he often falls asleep around school, or just sits against walls with his head buried in his arms. When he starts bleeding, he looks dead. Students tend to leave him alone if they seem him sleeping somewhere, though they'll wake him up if his head is bleeding so it can be bandaged up

Kaede: Trouble breathing, loses breath easily, will often read music books when her nightmares keep her up at night.

Ryoma: Minor headaches, complete inability to learn to swim.

Kirumi: Occasional stabbing pains throughout her body.

Angie: Minor headaches and neck pains. Scar on neck will sometimes bleed, but the scar on her head strangely won't.

Tenko: Neck pains, scar on neck occasionally bleeds.

Korekiyo: Always warm.

Miu: Trouble breathing, loses breath easily

Gonta: Always super warm, more likely to be stung by wasps (though it doesn't affect his opinion on them in the slightest)

Kokichi: Has minor memory issues, occasional small headaches and dizziness. His head, arm, and back scars will sometimes bleed, but he'll only notice the head scar bleeding because it drips into his eyes and mouth. His entire body is constantly struck with pain, and he can't walk without support (usually achieved through his crutches, which have paint splatters and stickers on it from himself and the Kubs). Occasionally, his body will go out without warning, requiring him to use a wheelchair. The cutoff point is right below his arms. He very much enjoys lying face down on the floor when his body goes out, especially if his head starts bleeding at the same time. He'll also see Gonta strangle Miu and collapse if left in the room with just them. Keeps getting caught trying to use his chair as a stepstool.

Kaito: Usually has some minor sickness. Will very occasionally cough up blood.

Tsumugi: Wasn’t revived. Faint blood stain in front of the school.

Keebo: He doesn't have any lasting effects from his self destruction.

Himiko: Tends to be a might clingy to Tenko and Angie, like something's gonna come to take them away.

Maki: A little more open than she was in ch1.

Shuichi: Tends to follow Kaede around, but does activities on his own or with Maki and Kaito. Specifically, he still trains with the two at night. He was reset back to wearing his hat, but after a few weeks and words of encouragement from Kaede, he stops wearing it again.

Revived Rantaro AU

CW: None

The ritual to revive a dead student worked, and it revived Rantaro. Angie died not long later, leading to everyone thinking the freshly revived Rantaro killed Angie. He didn't, Kiyo knocked him out from behind and pinned the blame on him. Kiyo gets found out, though. Really didn't help that Angie smeared her blood on his then corpse as part as the ritual. Rantaro's actual corpse was used instead of the wax effigy, and Monokuma had cleaned him up, and even had somehow fixed up his head injury.

Rantaro can't feel pain anymore. He also tends to distance himself from the others, especially Shuichi and Tsumugi (who gets more nervous around him, because she thinks he knows she killed him). He doesn't like being alone, but is unsure who to trust after several people had already killed someone. His eyes and blood glow in the dark. He also just has a off-putting vibe on him in general. He lives! And learns his talent. Yippie. Monokuma gives him his Survivor Perk Monopad back, cleaned of his blood. There is a minor joke similar to Keebo being a robot where he's just referred to as a walking corpse

Talent Swap AU

CW: None

Everyone more or less acts and dresses somewhat the same as in canon, but there are a few changes due to different talents. The kubs (or rather, kits) have swapped color palettes and patterns, but retain their main accessory to better instantly recognize them from an outside standpoint. They're also winged rabbit instead of bears.

Rantaro: The Ultimate Murderous Fiend. Dresses the same (though his shirt doesn’t have the wheel design), retains implied injuries, they’re just from murders instead of traveling. Usually has a knife on him even if he can’t use it lest he get punished. He will use it as a threat, though, and is often following Kaede and Kokichi around. Kokichi likes using him as a threat, and he doesn’t really care all that much. Is fully aware that the others don’t trust him, and thus spends his free time alone, should he not be with his only two friends. Hides his talent (or just never bothers telling anyone) until it’s revealed, most likely through the motive videos. Still has his sisters, and his money, and it seems that his turn to murder was a different response to his sister going missing (in that his frustration over being the reason she went MIA to begin with and further inability to find her made him start venting built up anger with violence). Rantaro doesn’t contribute much, though is helpful with fatal injuries, and usually keeps to himself, choosing to remain neutral on the killing game as a whole, since he isn’t really much better.

Kaede: The Ultimate Astronomer. Often starts rambling about space facts. Headstrong and determined to trust everyone, even in a murder game. This is really the only reason she initially befriended Rantaro. Believes in you, but knows she has to be unbiased in cases, in order to prevent everyone from getting killed. Dresses the same, but with a galaxy patterned skirt and socks with planet, moon, and sun hair clips. She’s still rather awkward with her words and stumbles over herself often, but she does eventually get what she wants to say out. Perhaps still crushes on Shuichi :o he does too gsdjkg neither one can admit it though. Keeps leaving her room in the middle of the night to go look at the night sky and will start infodumping without prompting should you encounter her out here.

Ryoma: The Ultimate Farmer.

Kirumi: The Ultimate Cook.

Angie: The Ultimate Gymnast.

Tenko: The Ultimate Bodyguard.

Korekiyo: The Ultimate Botanist.

Miu: The Ultimate Tennis Pro.

Gonta: The Ultimate P.E..

Kokichi: The Ultimate Gamer. Instead of behaving strangely to get everyone to hate him, Kokichi just actually acts like that and thinks of the killing game like, well, a regular video game. Often gives out death threats for fun on Rantaro's behalf (at least that's what he says), and got badly attacked by Monosuke about a week into the game, causing his facial injury and partial blindness. Due to his orphan upbringing, he's rather clingy, especially towards Kaede and Rantaro, and likes pretending Monosuke is his and Rantaro's son despite Monosuke attacking him. Kokichi is still somewhat of a frequent liar, and still acts childish, pestering others during trials to get them to slip up. If he could, he'd probably wear those lame video game shirts to trials and in general. Claims to have murdered his parents and been adopted "by gamers" but no one can tell if he's lying or what reason he would have to kill if he was telling the truth. Wears blue pants and a pink sweater.

Kaito: The Ultimate Moral Compass.

Keebo: The Ultimate Pop Sensation.

Maki: The Ultimate Child Caregiver.

Himiko: The Ultimate Analyst.

Tsumugi: The Ultimate Drama.

Shuichi: The Ultimate Photographer. Shuichi still has low self-confidence and is rather anxious, often found around the school taking photos, as it calms him and is also a good way to improve his talent. He refuses to take photos of people without their permission, and it takes him some time to get more confident both with his photos and in general. He kinda dresses similarly to pre-game Rantaro tbh, which wasn’t intentional, but now that’s the only mental image coming to mind. He also has his camera around his neck 90% of the time, similar to Mahiru, and it's sorta like a comfort item to him - he dislikes it not being on his person. Enjoys taking photos of animals as well, and the ratio of Monomi units to classmate photos is very unbalanced as a result. Will always immediately offer up his photos when a body discovery announcement goes off, even if he didn’t think they provided any new insight to the case. Shuichi also doesn’t wear a hat, being able to look people in the eye (or at least, in their general direction) without too much issue from the start. He lacks a ahoge as well, due to not ever being in the protagonist’s role.

Monokid: Monokid has a more robotic appearance than the others, and he is partially pink. He is probably the calmest of the kits, taking a more sensible approach despite still encouraging murder. Occasionally found in people’s rooms without permission, he’s here to talk to you about your problems, mostly in order to subtly convince you that yes, murder is the solution, and as long as you don’t get caught, it’s perfectly fine to strive for.

Monosuke: Monosuke has vertical stripes and is partially green, liking to spend his free time reading. He has a large amount of books stored in the Monokit room, though despite this, isn’t really all that calm and gets into fights and arguments with his siblings. His glasses have been smashed a very high amount of time, but he has many backups.

Monotaro: Monotaro has tiger-like stripes and is partially blue. He enjoys collecting items, whether it be pens, buttons, fingers, or other pieces of evidence from crime scenes. He likes trying to ruin them as soon as the announcement goes off, though his siblings hold him back at least until the scene has been fully investigated.

Monophanie: The entirety of Monophanie’s face is white and she is partially red, fitting with her more blood-lusty personality. Monophanie likes to play fight with her siblings, both with pillows and with claws, and is the most encouraging of the kits for the students to commit murder against each other. She has bitten each of her siblings, her mom, and probably half the students.

Monodam: Monodam is simply half white, half yellow, and is more on the quiet side, lurking in the corner in order to raise tension. Really, he’s very kind, but he also enjoys messing with the students and making them think they’re in more trouble than they are. Should he be spotted, however, he’ll try to make a break for it.

Monomi: Monomi is here instead of Monokuma, and the kubs are her kids, being rabbits and called the Monokits. She acts similar to Monokuma, but shows a lot more care and concern for her kits. The students, not so much. Due to taking Monokuma’s role, her appearance matches him as well. She looks like Monomi, but with black instead of pink, and her red eye has the same design as Monokuma units. Monomi is still a rabbit, but does not wear anything, aside from continuing to wear her ribbon. She also has a fluffy rabbit tail as well as wings, despite never being Usami in this world, and has sharp teeth for an unknown reason (with certain expressions, of course).
